How can I stop Siri from announcing my address during navigation?

How can we make Siri not repeat a phone number or when I say hay Siri navigate home I don’t want it to say my address and that I’m navigating to 1234 blank street blank city or blank state

Change when Siri responds

You can customize when Siri responds to your voice. You can also choose which language Siri responds to.

  1. Go to Settings  > Siri.
  2. Do any of the following:
    • Prevent Siri from responding to the voice request “Hey Siri”: Tap Talk to Siri, then tap Off.
    • Prevent access to Siri when iPhone is locked: Turn off Allow Siri When Locked.

Settings > Siri > Siri Responses > Prefer Silent Responses //driving or headphone usage bypasses this setting

this does not help. The fact that siri is silenced does not stop this from happening; not on phone, carplay or any speaker you may have hooked up to your IPHONE. Could you imagine that you say "navigate home" and you're in a bad part of town or you're trying to get home after you've just had a negative interaction with someone and siri anounces your address over your vehicle, or speaker of your phone when it's supposed to be silenced. wow the ramifications. now the person doesn't have to follow you but just navigate to your home later and something bad happens. Who becomes responsible for any repercussions because siri was not able to be silenced?

Go a distance from the person with whom you had a "negative interaction". In your car, turn the volume down or roll up the windows. Or, again, drive some distance before enabling navigation. Or, rather than using Siri, go to maps and select your destination manually. Some problems lend themselves more to common sense, non-technological solutions.

Siri will only say “uh huh” if you don’t continue the request after saying Siri.

Don’t pause after saying “Siri” or “Hey, Siri”, just state your request immediately. “Siri, what’s tomorrow’s weather?"

If you said to your friend, “Hey Joe” and paused Joe might say “uh huh” or perhaps something ruder. Siri is responding in a similar manner. Siri is “smart” enough to not require waking up before processing the rest of the command or question, and hasn’t been for over 3 years now.
