A white then black line on my new blue Ipad Air 6 M2 lockscreen. The CS thought it was a software problem that needed to be updated. Got a replacement and updated it to IOS 18. The line was still there. Has anyone experienve this? Will it cause a problem in the long run?

When reviewed, if the lines are not present in the screenshot image, then you have demonstrated that you have a hardware fault. If the lines are visible in the screenshot, the something other than hardware will be the cause.
Note: When reviewing the image, rotating the iPad screen orientation by 90°, from Portrait to Landscape, will ensure that the image does not coincide with screen defects if present.

Thank you for your help! I exchanged that Ipad since it's under 14 days. Will see if the new one has the same problem, hopefully not!! But will follow your directions for my nephew's new Ipad Air 5th. The white line appeared (not all the time) when tapping on the lock screen after installing the IOS 18.
