The new ios 18.1 larger emoji row is really annoying, Is there any way to get rid of it? There should at least be an option because in a ton of people’s preferences it’s too big and annoying. I want the old emoji rows back. Any help?

I hate that on this new ios 18.1 update the emojis are so big. Can you please update this. I hate using emojis now because it’s so hard to find them. I use to use emojis all the time. Please fix this. No one likes this. This was not a good idea to make the emojis bigger.
Actually the larger emojis has been a long standing request by users as they complained that the emojis were too small. They used the feedback link to let Apple know and now you see larger emojis. You can do the same thing to let Apple know how you feel and maybe they can make an option to allow multiple sizes. Apple won't see your post here, so that won't do any good, but here is the feedback link where they will read your comments.
Guys i finally find a way out! If you have a foreign language (to my case, Cangjie the tranditional chinese), the emoji size will come out the former size but choice goes vertically.

make the emoji smaller, shouldnt have updated to ios 18, they sooooooo bug unending scrolling. we need an option to make it small taking tooo much space
No one reading here can make that happen. You can let Apple know your thoughts here:
Hi guys,
Please give Apple a feedback as I did a second ago to let them know about this problem. The more people share it’s thoughts, the bigger chance of bringing it back ☺️

I agree with this but as of now there is no way to make it smaller. They might add a setting in the future that gives the option but right now we have to live with it.
I found the way! Download from AppStore any app with Emoji keyboard. It’ll add one more keyboard. Than delete apple emoji keyboard in the settings of keyboard
don't forget to report it here:
It’s called Kaiboard - a keyboard that you can type Traditional Chinese and English simultaneously. Download the Kaiboard app and install. After that go to “Settings” “General” “Keyboard” then add new keyboard.
Good luck.
I totally agree, you wrote all my feelings. I hope they give us back what we want

I did this earlier as well. Flood their feedback!

(Reply button for individual comments doesn’t seem to work - nor does an option to remove my previous out-of-context posts; apologies.)

Pls bring the old emoji layout back or make it configurable. These new bigger size ones are annoying
Hopefully you know you are not speaking to Apple here. The way to do that is by using the Feedback link that has been posted many times. Unfortunately the solution gets buried with "me too" posts from users who fail to read the responses before posting. Apple will not see your post here.

My eyes work fine, if someone needs XL emojis Apple can add it to the list of the other one hundred unnecessary setting options!
So, anyone who is not you, who doesn't have perfect vision, should be inconvenienced? Have you let Apple know your thoughts?
