Is there any option to retain IMEI once renewing Iphone?

Hi all!

I am living in Turkey. I would like to buy a new IPhone from USA once I visit in November. However, once I bring a new phone from abroad to Turkey I will have to pay extra tax (around 1000USD unfortunately!).

Therefore, I would like to use my existing IPhone's IMEI number with the new phone. Is there anyway to do it?

no, the IMEI number is a unique number that is set by the cellular hardware of the phone.
