Hi, we’re going to Disney and I’m worried my stroller will get stolen. I heard about hiding an AirTag on the stroller. I was just reading about how to set it up and apparently it chirps when it’s so far away from the phone? Is there a way to disable the chirping and make it silent? Thank you

No, anyone CANNOT track your AirTag. You misinterpreted that. Without the chirping a stalker could place an AirTag in your personal item and you would not know it’s there. The chirping is there to alert you that there’s an AirTag on your person or possessions without your knowledge. And that's why the chirping cannot be turned off. And you certainly don’t want to approach the thief in any way, shape, or form.
AirTags were NOT designed to be theft deterrents even though people started using them for that purpose immediately. In fact there are several class action lawsuits alleging AirTags are being used by stalkers. It’s the reason Apple added the chirping.
AirTags were not designed so a husband or boyfriend can track you without your knowledge. But bad people started using them for that anyway.

an airtag would be non the wiser for the purpose, of why anyone would wish it to go under the radar
I guess I don’t understand. Anyone can track the AirTags that are connected to my phone? I figured an AirTag would be good Incase the stroller was taken so I could see its location but if it’s going to be chirping it will just alert the thief that it is there, making it pointless. Thank you, I guess I will be returning these.
they are only informed that they are being tracked if you are out of Bluetooth range of the airtag (around 30meters)
so we all agree if it's not for you, you should use the return policied avaible in the country you live.
