my iwatch shows connected to iphone (16), but i cannot properly use my iwatch (A2093) version (10.6.1) functions….answering a call, etc..

So you have you tried unpairing and re-pairing the watch?
Have you tried to restart the iPhone and the paired Apple Watch to see if the issues persist ?

the watch was paired to old iPhone it’s been unpaired.
