Bug in MacOS Sequoia 15.0.1 Music app

The small icon indicating which track is playing is malfunctioning. See screen shot. It looks like two tracks are playing. Sometimes there is no icon at all by the track being played. I am not subscribing to Apple Music. The tracks are all on my hard drive and in the app, not the cloud.

Music App Plays Wrong Song in MacOS 14 Immediately after upgrading from MacOS 13 to MacOS 14, the Apple Music app isn't working properly. (I do not have a subscription to the identically named streaming service.) If I open the app and double-click a song, a different, random song starts playing. I can't discern any pattern to it -- the song that starts playing truly seems to be random. The issue occurs whether I select a song via Library > Songs view or via a playlist or via the MiniPlayer. Occasionally, several different, equally random song titles will appear in rapid succession in the Now Playing window at the top of the Music app window before the app starts playing a random song. Apple Support said that it appears to be a known software issue and had me reinstall the OS via recovery mode, but the issue persisted after the reinstall. Good times. Music app version 1.4.4.48, MacOS version 14.4.1, Intel 27" 2020 iMac.

MacOS Music Library: Spinning Beachball (Not Responding) I launch Music, click on (any song/artist) in my Library... and the spinning beachball appears. Seconds later, Not responding appears in Force Quit Applications. I tried restarting, launching in Safe Mode, and opening Music by clicking a song in Finder. Same result. Mac mini M1 16GB Sonoma 14.2.1 Thank you! Chuck

I have the moving sound bars with the song playing on only one. These are also just on my hard drive.

My music app is mucking up. I got a pair of HomePod mini speakers and have them set up as a stereo pair.

The tracks start to skip and get stuck, and then stop playing altogether.

Any ideas?
