MacBook Air 2020 stuck in Activation Lock.

Hello, couple months ago i buy a 2020 Intel MacBook Air (A2179) with broken screen from a friend (first owner).

After a long time i decided to fix it and use as secondary computer. After replacing screen, mount a new battery i power it up and go to recovery mode to install fresh copy of MacOS.

After reboot i get "Activation Lock" screen and now its a little problematic because computer was removed from friends iCloud Account so i really have no idea what to do now.

I contacted friend for password or iCloud username etc to unlock it but she forgeted it.

I don't have proof of purchase, only box with matching serial number so i can't send request to Apple for unlock :(

There is any solution for this ? I spend couple of $$ to fix it and it will be wery sad to can't use it

Thank you!

It was apparently NOT removed from their account. If it had been, you would not be seeing the activation lock.

The only solution is for the person you purchased it from. To regain access to their account to remove the activation lock.
