How to optimise Apple Maps Storage usage on iPhone?

The Maps app is about 175MB in size. That is not a large size in the scheme of things. If your iPhone suggests that the Apple Maps app, documents and data is taking up considerable amount of space then you need to do some troubleshooting. This is a bug that causes the “Maps Data” to grow in size for no apparent reason and without being deletable. Please report this as a bug so apple sees it and knows to fix it.

Troubleshooting iPhone Storage:
