MacBook Pro: Are protective cases worth it (and recommendations)?

I'm using a MacBook Pro (2019) 16" which I have had since 2019 and take great care of. However, I just picked it up from Apple Repair due to a battery service but they also identified internal moisture and dents (from a minor bump) had caused issues which I needed to have fixed.

Now that I have my laptop back, I'm just wondering if I should have a protective case to prevent future damages (e.g., being knocked; scratches etc). I read mixed advice online - some recommended and others don't - so I'm going to the source for the best info.

It's also a pain trolling through all the gimmick cases out there, so hoping for recommendations for a good quality protective case too.

Keep a Cover Off of your Mac While In Use:

Your Mac would likely overheat - with that taking place Accidental Damage would be a considered culprit, and that would cancel any coverage you have whatsoever.

As an Alternative…

Use a cover for storage; take it out when you are about to use it and then let it cool down for a few before placing it backing. Amazon sells plenty of these: For Me: I store mine in a lookalike book cover, and remove it when using the Mac: MOSISO Laptop Sleeve Case
