iCloud folder files missing on iPad

I have a link to my iCloud drive on my Windows 11 system. I have a folder on the drive with multiple files that show up, and can be accessed without problem, on my W11 system. However, when accessing the iCloud drive on my iPad using the files app, the folder appears but is empty; i.e. no files. I've noticed also that the directory on https://www.icloud.com/iclouddrive/ is also empty. This was working OK until about a week ago. I haven't installed any new app or upgraded IOS since then. Any thoughts about what I could have done to cause this?

I've done some additional investigating and discovered the following. If I upload files directly to https://www.icloud.com/iclouddrive/ using the web interface (e.g. chrome), the files show up on my iPad via the files app. So the question becomes where does the iCloud Drive link on my W11 system actually point to? Further investigation led me to find the missing files on C:\Users\xxxxxx\iCloudDrive. So it appears like what's 'broken' is the link on my W11 system between this local directory and my actual iCloud drive. I'll try reinstalling the iCloud app on my W11 system and see if that fixes it.

I reinstalled the W11 iCloud app and it's now working; i.e. files I add to the iCloud link on W11 are showing up on my iPad. So for whatever reason the link between W11 and my actual iCloud somehow was removed. For the future I'll see if there's someway to reestablish this link without having to actually reinstall the app.
