How to link WhatsApp app to a device by phone number?

I recently broke my phone and my back camera isn’t working, so I can’t scan QR code. I downloaded the new version of WhatsApp app on my Mac, and I can’t login because the only login option is to scan QR code. Any idea how to login on the app (not WhatsApp Web) by phone number? It works just fine on Web, but the app is more convenient..

Phone number on MacOS Sequoia Messages? On my iPhone, people have been able to contact me on Messages through my phone number. In the past, I've been able to add my phone number on the MacOS as an option. On Sequoia, not only can I not do that, but all of the central settings for any of the apps seemed to have been eliminated from the System Settings. Anyone have any idea how to deal with this? Most of my messages come over on my phone number. To not have that on my Mac just seems incomprehensibly stupid.
