No camera on toolbar in Notes app

I have an iphone 15 pro...version iOS 18.0.1

I often use the camera on the toolbar of noted to scan documents for my accountant.

I tried to scan today but the camera has disappeared and now I can't use the notes app to scan.

Is there something I'm missing? I've scanned documents a week ago without any problem.

Any help would be appreciated.
