I recently wanted to go through my iPhone 6s that I haven’t turned on for over 5 years at least and just want to see if I can find my missing photos on that phone. Any recommendations on how to fix it? It shows a battery with a red line anytime I try to charge it and it won’t turn on even after a long time.
if you leave it connected to AC for 24hours and it still would not start up then the batt is gone
there is iPhone Battery Replacement - Apple Support
but if they can replace the battery without the storage being cleared costing you the photos I can't say
maybe their official support can?
