Apple Watch Touch screen not working

This morning after taking my watch off charge the touch screen will not work at all. I tried reseting by pressing side button and crown. This didn’t resolve. I then tried to unpair, and whilst my phone has unpaired, the watch looked like it tried to and then has returned to it’s normal watch face. Now i can’t interact with the watch at all. I did try a reset followed by holding the side button until i got the screen that asks about resetting all of the data, this won’t work as i need to confirm on the touch screen. I’m a bit lost now, the watch is just under 2 years old and i got it through vitality insurance, so it is probably out of warranty.

please help!

If you have attempted a force restart and the touchscreen of your watch remains unresponsive, there is a possibility of hardware damage to the screen. In this case, I recommend that you Contact - Official Apple Support to schedule hardware service to your watches screen
