Overheating of iPad Pro m4 on iPad os 18.0.1

My iPad Pro m4 on latest os 18 is heating a lot using apple pencil pro in apple note app. It become uncomfortable to hold my hand on the iPad only after writing 1 page and battery drains crazy. What should I do?

Yours is a complaint often seen here. Many report that disabling Hover features from settings will reduce heating - as will disabling Scribble.

You might also consider updating your iPad to the most recent version of iPadOS - at the time of writing, this being iPadOS 18.1.
