Apple l+ on Firstick

I have an Apple+ account and downloaded the App+ app on Firestick. However, when I try to watch anything it just shows 'how to watch' options rather than playing the film/episode! It says 'to watch here you must have purchased or rented on an Apple device'....but I have a subscription!

I am fully signed into account.

Any ideas anyone?

It appears that you selected a movie or show from the Store, rather than a movie or show from the Apple TV+ catalog.

The app shows more than just Apple TV+ content. It also has buy or rent content. It also has third party in-app channels. Those secondary sources may have to be purchased or subscribed to on a device not running Android or Fire TV (e.g. on iPhone).

To filter for just Apple TV+ content, as included with your Apple TV+ subscription, select the Apple TV+ tab in the sidebar.
