Using iphone 13.. After updating to 18.1, a thin black horizontal line appears in photos app when i open an image. It disappears but the line keeps on appearing inconsistently. This happens only in photos app alone. When exited everything works fine. This could not be captured in screenshot also.

Same. I made update from 17.7.2 to 18.2.1 with iPhone 13 Pro. I receive this grey line in fotos only when scrolling thru mediathek after I viewed a picture. The line disappears after 10 seconds. No line when I scroll in the app e.g. in albums or persons. Talked with apple support. They know about this issue and currently working on a software solution. I´m surprised that this problem was not detected during beta testing.
After third or fourth update bug still present,,

i contact Apple twice,they said to me ur phone is good, as um blind, I waited for 18 and 18.1 and 18.2 and 18.2.1 and the dam line still present..
My iphone 14 has the same problem. I have updated to iOS version 18.2.1, but the problem doesn't solved. This is very much annoying😡. Apple is not taking this matter seriously.
Please solve this problem ASAP.🙏
He actualizado a esa versión y también tengo la misma línea en la app de fotos. Pensé q tenía el móvil dañado pero ya veo q no. Gracias a Dios. Espero que Apple pueda solucionar esto en próximas actualizaciónes al igual que el drenaje excesivo de la batería.

I had the same issue, but this morning I found a new app called PanoraSplit. I think it might be a sister app to PhotoSplit.
I tried it today on my 3-grid image for @worth_london, and it worked perfectly.
Basically, you slide the cursor along, and it adjusts the image shape from square to portrait.

This is appearing for me as well. When spoken to apple they said to restore iOS version using laptop. I did the same but still the light appears. Apple needs to come out with a fix

I have updated my iPhone 12 Pro to ios 18.1 and I also noticed that a black horizontal line appearing in my photos app. It appears only in photos app not in any other system app.

I also have exactly the same problem after updating 18.1 on my iphone 14 plus. Only on the photos app too. I hope this will be fixed on the next update.
