Horizontal black line in photos app after updating 18.1

Same. I made update from 17.7.2 to 18.2.1 with iPhone 13 Pro. I receive this grey line in fotos only when scrolling thru mediathek after I viewed a picture. The line disappears after 10 seconds. No line when I scroll in the app e.g. in albums or persons. Talked with apple support. They know about this issue and currently working on a software solution. I´m surprised that this problem was not detected during beta testing.

Short Fix that worked for me:

iPhone 12 pro

IOS 18.2

1. Close all Apps
2. Turn Off Dark Mode
3. Open Photos App
4. Turn On Dark Mode again

After that it was fixed.

The black stripe only appeared for me when I worked horizontally in the Photos app.

Finally issue has been resolved in iOS 18.3.

If you export the original to the Desktop and open it in Preview does the line remain? This will tell you if Photos is corrupting the original or if it's just a displaying/vuewing issue.

Yes! I can confirm on iPhone 13 Pro. No more grey line in Fotos app now with 18.3.

Had the same issue after updating to ios 18.1 on my iPhone 13, i notice a horizontal black line after opening a photo, when i go back to gallery photos the horizontal black line will appear, it only appears in photos. I just bought my iPhone 13 about a week ago and it’s on ios 17 something, that’s why i think the issue is caused by the software update after I finished updating my iPhone 13 to ios 18.1. I’m hoping that when ios 18.2 is released it will fix the issue in photos with horizontal black line. Apple, please fix this issue.

After updated iOS 18.2 my horizontal thin black line gone completely. For my case I’m getting this black on screen for all not only on photo app.

My iPhone model is iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Actually I have updated into 18.2 but the issue is still there. When I came to the service provider, they said this case were happened by many iPhone 13 users while they have tried to fix the software, change the display and the unit, unfortunately the issue was not disappeared. At the end, there is no any conclusion for this issue.
