my iPhone se2020 US model A2275 does not show voLTE on Telstra network

Have been to settings General/Mobile /mobile data options no selection to show VoLTE

I have switched airplane mode on and off and reset rework settings

VoLTE shows up on my old iPhone A1723 SE 1st generation when I put my SIM card in that

IOS 18.1





Mac mini, macOS 10.15

If I'm not mistaken, Telstra's 4G network in Australia relies heavily on FDD-LTE band 28. The U.S. version of the iPhone SE (2nd generation) supports a number of 4G FDD-LTE and TD-LTE bands, but FDD-LTE band 28 is not among them.


Therefore, now that Telstra has shut down, or is shutting down, their 3G service, you might have trouble getting Telstra service with that particular variant (U.S. variant) of that particular iPhone.

This might force you to switch to a different carrier, a different phone, or both.

As for your first-generation iPhone SE, model A1723 is a "Global" model that supports LTE band 28. (I assume that plain "LTE" here refers to the same thing that "FDD-LTE" does elsewhere.)
