Mail not working after updating my iPhone 14 Pro to iOS 18

I am having the same issue both with Gmail and Outlook. I’m missing important work emails. Any one have a better solution other than remove the app and reinstall. Already tried and still have the issue

I don’t use the Apple mail app and only use the Gmail and outlook apps, and I still am not getting notifications of new emails. I’ve check all my settings in both (they haven’t changed) and nothing. Does Apple know there is an issue?

I’m having the same issue. I have tried all of the above and not getting mail notifications at all. It can be two hours and unless I open the mail app i don’t see emails. When i do open the mail app tons of messages download and there is also no sound. The other issue is when J try and delete a message the message appears to still be there and if i keep trying to delete it, thinking its still there, I’ve discovered I’ve deleted a bunch of other emails. I also have emails combining. I had an email i deleted from LinkedIn and the next email was LinkedIn on top and Dunkin Donuts on the bottom 🤦🏻‍♀️ . It’s is clear this 18.1 update totally screwed the mall app a for would be nice if Apple actually addressed and resolved this . This has become beyond frustrating

Any news on this from Apple? It’s Dec 7th and I can’t even get the mail to manually download. Says the inbox is updated and everything is empty. Only use gmail, and can’t get a single email address to work.

Same as others here, experiencing this on my iPhone 16 Pro 18.2. No mail notifications coming in at all. Mail only comes in when I open the mail app, where the bottom bar shows "downloading messages" and prompts new messages to come in.

Crazy that Apple still hasn't addressed this. This is a massive bug.

Just to add as of 13/12/24, I am experiencing exactly the same issues as the original poster on this thread:

It is extremely inconvenient and ridiculous that such a fundamental feature that has been working fine for years is now broken and no effort from Apple to resolve this.

We’ve all updated to iOS 18.2 and absolutely nothing has changed. The mail app is still not working- no notifications, trying to delete an email deletes other emails, emails are being combined . It is an absolute SH- show. It blows my mind that @apple has not addressed or done anything to resolve this

No it doesn’t work. There are zero options to fix this. This is an Apple issue that is affecting every customer and needs to be fixed on THEIR end. They know it’s their problem and will provide BS options in the meantime bc they don’t have a fix .

Early indications are, following updating to 18.2, I am now getting 'new mail widgets' (the number icon, by the Mail App), but am still not getting anything further than this, IE no preview of the new email(s) on the Lock Screen/Banner, etc.

I would agree with other posters that it would seem that updating to 18.2 has not resolved the issue.

I'm having the same problems even after update to 18.2

I have tried deleting email accounts and reinstalling

i haave deleted email app and reinstalled everything.

I have even factory reset phone and reinstalled everything.

STILL do not get emails unless I open the mail app. Email notifications for those i have just downloaded appear sometime later over other apps even if I had deleted the email. IOS 18 is messed up!!!!!!

I've read all comments. I also updated to 18.2. NO email on the phone.

I have messed around with settings -- primary etc., NO solution and still mail does not work.

It is Dec 14th....problem has continued for weeks. Why can an iPhone receive mail? Fix it. Just fix it.

This is the most horrible update. I have lost access to all my old emails. It just gives some stupid message. I use my email by searching for particular search Word regards to work stuff and I cannot find anything past the last couple months. Gives me this message and I'm so irritated.

Yeah, that would be great but when I go into all the settings, it says I have 16 mail accounts but when I open it, there are only four available. This whole update just screwed everyone. I hate Apple.

Saw it, but I thought you were UK. Also, ISP we use does not have this and other iPhone users are FINE because have not updated or have different model phone. So this does not seem to be a fix.

No email coming through... STILL.
