I use a laptop and a larger monitor for photography work. How do I easily move the cursor between screens? I find I have to do repeated sweeping, circular motions and then it suddenly goes to the other screen. I can't determine what finally works. There's got to be an easier way to jump between screens.

Move the cursor tho the edge of the screen that adjoins the other and then continue to push it through to the other screen. You can arrange the screens in System Settings > Displays > Arrange.
The desktop needs to be extended.
When choosing Extended Display,. displays are contcatenated along an edge of your choosing, and you arrange them inside your Mac the way they appear on your bench.
the mouse then moves freely along the extended desktop between the virtual displays in exactly the way you intended.
