like the title suggests, the emoji keyboard size after updating to 18.1 is waaay too big. It's really frustrating that I can't find a way to change it. Anyone had any luck solving this issue?

I found a way to at least get the stickers off the emoji keys. Go to keyboards on the settings and scroll all the way down to the bottom, you will see “stickers” and just un select it.
Tell all involved in these posts that
In “general” then down to “keyboards” then go to stickers at the bottom. Turn off!
Please read the information provided here. Users had complained the emojis were too small before and your suggestion to have an option for both sizes is a good one, but Apple will not see it here and you need to use the Feedback link that has been posted many time.

Have you sent feedback using the provided link already? Users who wanted the larger emojis did that and now you have them. If you don't like them, they you need to do the same and maybe there will be an option to have both sizes. Apple won't respond to user request here and most likely won't even see it to take into consideration. By submitting feedback, your request will be logged and that there is where you can make a difference. Sitting on the sidelines and complaining will do absolutely nothing.

They won't hear your voice here, but the feedback link has been posted many times. That is where Apple evaluates user feedback, just like they did when users complained that they were too small. Let them know how you feel. The ideal solution would be to have the option for small/large emojis.

I got a 16 2 days ago, and after HOURS of getting all my apps logged in (thanks apple for only remembering half of my log ins - I feel this is ios18 specific as my last phone upgrade was easy) but I do not have the diagonal emoji gaps. I've seen the 16 take an hour or so to adjust, so it may be worth doing a force restart to see if that helps?

It has been a request for a long time by users to make the emoji's bigger. You are welcome to use the same feedback link that they did to let Apple know how you feel.

Apple doesn't read these posts on this user to user only forum for feedback. If you think a few pages of people complaining on this forum is going to get anyone's attention for a change, it won't. And you need to also consider that for years people complained the Emoji's were too small. It took years of complaints to get Apple to make them larger. I was one who complained. But this link works both ways as I have used it to thank Apple for making Emoji's larger.

If you had taken the time to read past the very first post, you'd know by now you aren't writing Apple on this user to user only forum. Read some of the posts and you'll see that Emoji's were made larger after years of people complaining they were too small.
