notes are gone after accepting new icloud terms and conditions

What worked for me was;

1. Delete the app and download it again.
2. Go to Settings - icloud - apps using icloud - Notes
3. Turn off Sync this Iphone (delete notes) and then turn on.

I had one Notes disappear and all of the others (multiple notes) were still there. None of these solutions seem to work for bringing back just that one Notes.

Unfortunately the tips on here have not worked

When i do this, it says that if i follow through all icloud notes will be deleted. Did this happen to anyone else?

Mine did not come back either. I am so ****** off at Apple

CompactSwing you’re actually a lifesaver. went to my notes app to put down a draft for a bug report on discord and found out all of my notes were gone; figured it was because of the icloud agreement. i had several medication logs, years of writing, notes for video game builds, and dream logs — all stuff i don’t want to lose. thank you. i seriously thought i lost all of it.

Sadly none of these options have worked for me . I will just have to hope that in time they will reappear . So much info in my notes because I didn’t envisage this ever happening . Bad update Apple .. disappointed .

The same happened to me. I tried the following but ran into trouble, anyone run into similar and figured it out?

1 turned phone on and off

2 Can't toggle the apps using iCloud to "Sync this phone" as its the only option (no iCloud option)

3 could not delete the notes app and reinstall because it says "it will delete everything" and I don't want to take a chance.

Help! I have almost 350 notes and I put way too much faith in the iCloud system.

Yes same problem here “October 25!” I’ve lost every note update from October 25th to today. These notes were only supposed to be “On My iPhone” … I have not been able to get anything past that date … ughhh! Nightmare waste of time! Is it irony that iCloud did this… 😠

This is exactly my issue as well, and I’m seeing everybody else saying they got theirs back but it’s not working for me! Have you figured it out? I tried to speak with customer support multiple times the past 3 days and they have been completely useless. And I have 0 “On My iPhone” notes. There are incredibly important documents on my notes, as I’m sure is the case for everybody, and this needs to be fixed immediately. There should be no reason that they have just disappeared into thin air.

Go to settings -> Go to notes -> Click sync this phone -> Should update after that!

Why oh why does Apple do this?? Every time they do updates it causes problems for the whole community of apple owners!!!

Tried this didn’t work and icloud didn’t come up as above in iphone 14 pro. Icloud was listed in accounts though

I have the same issue and have lost notes saved to phone not iCloud. Frustrating that it just happened without warning. Please tag me if you find a solution Thanks
