M1 Studio Ultra / Ventura will not "see" iPhone 18 Pro (iOS 18.0.1)

Hi there,

Running Ventura 13.7.1 on my M1 Studio Ultra. I was very excited to recently upgrade to an iPhone 16 Pro (iOS 18.0.1) assuming that I will finally once again be able to (manually) manage the music on my phone using the iTunes/Music App on the M1 Studio, having been using an old iPhone 7 for a long time. Alas, I plug the iPhone 16 Pro in and it will charge, but I get the dreaded screen tell me that an update is required in order for me to access the phone. I called Apple Support twice, and they didn't seem to know, but then did some research and said it SHOULD work with Ventura. I upgraded from Ventura 13.6 to 13.7.1. on the advice of tech support and this made no difference. Does anyone know if I *should* be able to connect? Or do I need Sequoia, or will Sonoma work? Very frustrating if so, since Ventura is a *relatively* recent OS, and I am not running the new AI iOS 18.1. Thanks for any tips!

A macOS UpGrade from Ventura 13.x.x to macOS Sequoia 15.x.x will Not Present this Pop Up that @Old Toad or I have furnished

Further - when the iPhone is connected / wired to the computer and that Pop Up is presented

It is an Update used specifically to allow the Newer iPhone running a Newer Version of IOS to be able to read and recognize the iPhone

macOS Updates / UpGrades will normally be presented in System Preferences >> General >> Software updates

If the "Install" button isn't going to tell me to upgrade to Sequoia, can you tell me what it might be wanting to install instead of that? I am very hesitant to do any installs on this computer, since I use it for work with Pro Tools every day, and I can't risk having unintended issues due to upgrades. If I click "Install", will the Mac OS tell me what it wants to install before it actually begins installing? Thanks
