Turn off alerts for known AirTags

My boyfriend and I have separate Apple accounts and multiple AirTags between us. When I borrow his car he has tags inside some of his things that of course once they go out of range of him then start to look suspicious to my phone.

They are not suspicious… he can track me if he wants. For that matter we permanently share each others location from our phones so the AirTag actually shouldn’t be that suspicious considering it’s on the same Apple account as a friend that has their locations shared permanently.

i need to know how to disable his AirTags from triggering an alert on my phone. I know they are there, I don’t want to be bothered by them because it will make me numb to the alert if someone does try tracking one of us.

there must be some way this can be worked around. Apple needs to make a way for us to add “friends tags” to a list of exceptions.

Would this help?

it’s kinda dumb.

... so now you know how the AirTags work with the Apple's Find My network. By default, your iPhone participates in this network ... as do millions of other iPhones.

Basically, Apple only provides us with the means to not get AirTag notifications at all ... and that is by disabling "Find My network" & Bluetooth on your phone. Not exactly a desired "solution." All of this, I believe, is Apple's way to prevent someone from tracking you with them.

I suppose that may be an option but what if I don’t want to see their devices on my find my? I just want the option to fully ignore any given tag. I shouldn’t need permission from the tag owner to do it. “I know who’s tag this is please stop alerting me about it” period.
