I’m pretty sure it’s the True Depth camera IR filter that has moved out of position. Because the IR blocking filter is missing/misaligned, your camera is now recording IR light, which was previously blocked. I can’t be 100% sure, but I’m a former Apple Store Manager and have seen this issue before. Please make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store and let them check it out.

Honestly I’m just waiting for the next update 18.2 because I know it’s not a hardware thing at all it literally happened after the upgrade and absolutly no damage has happens to my phone at all.
i wanted to downgrade back to iOS 18 but can’t seem to find out how to do that
Front camera and flashlight not working since the IOS18. I came to the Apple Store who wants $200 for a camera replacement when there were no issues with my camera or flashlight before the update. It’s disappointing that Apple wants me to pay to fix something that was working fine before the latest update.
I’m experiencing the same issue with my iPhone 13. The phone is practically new and has never been dropped, yet the front camera suddenly developed a pinkish tint. It’s incredibly disappointing that AppleCare is not taking responsibility for this issue and is instead charging customers for a replacement. This is not the level of support I expected from Apple.
I went to the Apple Store who wanted to charge me $200 to fix a problem that was not there before the update. $200 is unreasonable especially when that amount is 1/4 of the base price for a phone that’s still being paid on.
Yes Jeff. I did force restart. Still facing the same issue. It starts with black screen and multiple color lines which turns to above purple and lines. Screenshot attached.

What did you do for the resolution as apple is not agreeing to anything and not even sharing the diagnosis reports.
