I’m pretty sure it’s the True Depth camera IR filter that has moved out of position. Because the IR blocking filter is missing/misaligned, your camera is now recording IR light, which was previously blocked. I can’t be 100% sure, but I’m a former Apple Store Manager and have seen this issue before. Please make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store and let them check it out.

I can’t agree more. Apple must be knowing this issue but ignoring as it is like forcing the users to upgrade the phones.
