2 Phones 1 Apple ID Help!

My husband just got onto my phone plan but was switching from another phone company. I have been receiving texts from his new phone number and from the old phone number. We have reset the old phone, blocked the number from the old phone but I’m still getting texts from both numbers in 1 text message like a group text. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!!

You each need your own Apple ID. It is intended for multiple devices using the same ID to act as one. That way a person can answer a text from a different device or start an email on one and finish on the other. Voice mails are also available on all device so that person can respond to them any way they wish no matter what current device they are working on.
