I need to validate my email address, for a brand new Apple ID.

I received a used Apple iPad. It was reset at an Apple store near Dallas TX.

They had to create a brand new Apple ID, and account for me. (I never had one before.)

We were able to validate my phone number for the account.

The iPad setup process wants me to validate my email address for the account.

I was able to get the email validation process to send an Apple Account Code as a text message to my phone.


I expected to receive a temporary code in an email to validate my email address on my iPad.

How do I get it? Is there a different process?


I need to find the right code to enter into the right screen to validate my email address to continue with my iPad setup. iPad setup is asking for a code to validate my email address.

I finally got my email address verified. As best I can tell I needed to go through the steps fairly quickly.


Click on "Verify now" link in an email with subject "Verify your email or phone number."

Entered my Apple Account ID (email address) and password.

The next screen said a code was sent to my devices. (But my device is not set up.)

I clicked on "No access to devices".

The next screen offered an option of sending the code as a text message to my phone.

I clicked on that option.

I received a text message on my phone with the 6 digit code.

I entered the 6 digit code.

The next screen said my email address was verified.


What is the local standard to flag this problem solved?
