Do iPhone 16 Pro have adequate outdoor brightness?

16 pro vs 13 pro max brightness

Guys - everybody is different and for me the only reason to upgrade from 13 Pro Max is I cannot use it outdoors on a sunny day and with bad eyes, I can really see much. Is setting auto display brightness on the 16 pro far brighter and gets to or at least close to 2000 nits? There have been quite a few reports on this from a month ago about brightness and I am concerned and holding my order till you folks confirm one way or another - thank you.

I have used my iPhone 16 Pro outside a number of times on bright sunny days and have not found brightness to be an issue. As with anything, though, "your mileage may vary". If you purchase the iPhone 16 directly from Apple online or an Apple Store in many countries, you'll have until until January 8, 2025 to return it if it doesn't give you enough improvement (confirm that the holiday return policy is in place in your country).
