how to airdrop one photo from iPhone 15 to MacBook air sequoia 15

MacBook Air is not showing as discoverable. it only shows another iPhone as valid with no other options. I want to put this on my hard drive and not photos and edit crop it. At this point I can't discover my MacBook Air by my iPhone. It worked fine on Sonoma.

Have you opened the AirDrop app on your MacAir? You can use Spotlight to search for AirDrop.app. At the bottom of the AirDrop window is this:

That determines who will show up in your phone's AirDrop list.


You should see this:

It points out that "both you and the recipient must have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on, and be within Bluetooth range." Also, you can't be using a personal Hot Spot.
