Sharing Photos with airdrop

used airdrop to transfer photos from myiphone 13 pro (17.1.2) to my wife's macbook pro (14.1.1) photos. cant find transferred photos in amongst her 12,000 MacBook pro photos.

That will work. Dragging may bypass some checks that Photos does, so you'd be better off going to Photos>File>Import and navigate to your user folder and Downloads. It will check for duplicates and problems and may give you some choices for importing.


Are you sure it said they were going to Photos? My Mac says "Receiving Photos from" phone and gives me the option of seeing its location in Finder. I'm glad it doesn't go to Photos, because some stuff I just want to mess with without involving the Photos app.
