I’m looking at the same ones. Best Buy has the M3 Max as brand new. The difference in prices is about $100.

what I’ve heard is the M3 Max runs hot and load under load. Especially when gaming. I’m personally thinking of going it the M4 Pro.

M4 Pro. You want the 14/20 core version, and increase the SSD to 1 Tb minimum.

There is an M4 Max version of the MBP. You might want to check it out, too. It has even more GPU cores which will help with rendering in Maya.

I’m looking at buying off the shelf. Going to be running a VM with parallels and windows 11. That’s why I’m thinking 48 on the Ram.
