unable to accept new icloud terms and conditions iPadOS 16.7.10

New iCloud Terms and Conditions message says I must accept new terms etc. I click continue and get Cannot Complete Action message stating “This action cannot be completed at this time.” Only option is to click OK. Restarting iPad changes nothing. iPad 5th generation; iPadOS 16.7.10.

I have now (as requested by apple support, followed the steps at this link:

Restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings using a computer


INCLUDING FIRST TAKING A BACKUP.


I now have a fully working iPad with no request to approve terms and conditions.

Same here. iOS 16.7.10 for iPhone 8. I've tried every reddit trick I've read. Log out of your account log back in. Check your mail account log off that. Update to iOS 17 or 18 (iPhone 8 isn't compatible with iOS 17 or 18). Take your phone to the apple store and do a hard reset, make sure its a hard one. And if all else fails, pray.


None of the above should really be necessary to resolve the issue. My photos are actually syncing to cloud and I just completed a manual backup so not sure why the Apple ID's are glitching.


Apple just needs to get themselves sorted and provide some direction for the users impacted.

I called Apple Support today after a long wait while the nice lady checked into it, she said anybody not on the most current version can't update.


But that there was no timeline for agreeing to the terms and I should just keeping trying every week.


I'm severely disappointed in Apple on not putting a notice on iCloud web page or the online support answer.


I have agreed to terms on iPad and I don't remember Mac every mentioning it.
