Why is Control Center still accessible when my iPhone is locked?

I turned off "Control Center" when locked but it would not turn off, I could still use it. I have a iPhone 15 plus.

Please follow this path,

iPhone > Settings > Face ID & Passcode > enter passcode > scroll down > Allow Access When Locked > Control Center > disable

Well, it’s possible and it might be a bug. On the other hand, your Face ID may have just open your iPhone and access it quickly before you know it.

Try locking your iPhone and cover your camera/Face ID area then power your iPhone without it being open/unlock and see if it’s still accessible
