Accessing ‘Control centre’ from lock screen bug.

In the latest IOS update, I can now access the control centre when my iPhone is locked, even though I have the setting disabled. This security feature was working fine on the last IOS, IOS 18. I would really like this fixed ASAP as I live in a city where phone snatching is a really big issue.

iPhone 15, iOS 26

You aren't writing Apple here. This is a user to user only forum. I'm going to guess you're using Face ID on your iPhone, right? If you are, the reason you can open Control Center from your lock screen, even with that option turned off in settings is because YOU are looking at your screen and your phone knows it's you, because of Face ID. If someone else walked up to your iPhone and tried to open Control Center, your phone wouldn't recognize them and they wouldn't be able to open it. In other words, it really wasn't designed to prevent you from opening Control Center. It is intended to prevent someone else from opening Control Center.
