Is anyone else having a problem with FPC 11 downloading the caption transcription model. It just sits there at 0% for hours.

Just updated to FCP 11 and want to add captions. All software is up to date but the download for the transcription model just sits there ar 0% when I try to ad captions.

Is the model super large, or is there a problem.

I have a MacBook pro M2 with 16GB RAM

Help appreciated :)

I don't think it's a bug actually. This is most likely due to Apple's servers being overwhelmed by all the people updating to Final Cut Pro and wanting to download this speech-to-text model. My guess is that that model is hosted on Apple's Accessibility server (the same server that you download text-to-speech and speech-to-text models from if you were to go into Accessibility on your Apple device). That server sometimes is very slow, and sometimes it doesn't even work (as a person having family members with disabilities I can say it's very frustrating sometimes). I'm not sure why Apple seems to have separate servers for App Store apps and Accessibility models, but it seems like they do and the Accessibility one is slower. If you wait a day and restart your Mac it should work.
