Troubleshooting an iPhone Screen Turning Off:

I. Any Overheating?

If so, go here, it may be closing the screen, but not turning off. See my User Tip: Cooling Down an Overheating iPhone- Apple Community

II. Update your iOS:

You iPhone model (13) is compatible with the latest iOS version as of this reply (iOS 18.1). Some bugs may be fixed induing so.

A. Use my User Tips:

• Computer:  Update your iPhone Using a Computer - User Tip
• Cellular: Use an iPhone 12 or later, that is using 5G, in order to update over Cellular - User Tip

B. Backup Prior to Updating:

IMPORTANT: If you have an option to update, however, then be certain you backup your iPhone first. That way, you will have something to restore your iPhone from should anything go wrong with the update

III. Close All Apps:

An app is pending something, such as a download. So, save what need be, and close all apps. Hold your finger down as you swipe up from the bottom-left corner, to the top-right corner. Then, close all of these open apps, by swiping up quickly for each app.

IV. Get this Diagnosed by Apple:

There would be no cost to it. Thing is, I do not think they would look at it if you do not set up a Genius Bar Appointment at your local Apple Store. So, et one up, seeing where things can go from here.
