OpenAI emails not received

platform.openai tries to send emails for confirmation but somehow these emails never arrive in my inbox. Is there anyway I can check if these are blocked by icloud or wrongly sent from openai? If there is any setting I can change in the online icloud mail settings that would make sure that openai always arrive that would be awesome. Please I need some help to be able to enter my account details and my API limit settings.

Thanks in advance.

Another update:

"Thank you for bearing with us while we addressed the issue with

verification emails not being delivered to Apple email addresses. The

engineering team has implemented a fix, and everything should now be

working as expected. Could you please confirm if you’re able to receive

the verification emails on your end?"

Seems like the issue is fixed now.

Update from OpenAI about this issue:

Hello,

Thank you

for reaching out and sharing your concerns regarding the email

confirmation issues when using an Apple iCloud Private Relay email

address. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused

and understand how frustrating this situation must be.

The issue

with receiving confirmation emails through iCloud Private Relay appears

to be affecting multiple users, as you've mentioned. Unfortunately, this

is due to limitations in how Private Relay handles email forwarding and

filtering, which can sometimes block or delay emails from our system.

We are

actively working to address this issue and have shared feedback with the

relevant teams to improve compatibility with iCloud Private Relay.

I am also experiencing this problem when using the "Hide Me Email" feature and waiting for a "Verify your email" from platform.openai.com.

Information & observed behavior

  1. The behavior of never arriving (as OP described) has persisted over serval days
  2. The "Hide My Email" address' domain I am using is the `@privaterelay.appleid.com` kind (as opposed to the more common `@icloud.com` version, for some reason )
  3. The "Hide My Email" address was created over a year ago IIRC
  4. Previous emails from OpenAI's Platform product have successfully been forwarded through this same privaterelay address.

Debugging Info

  1. I tried sending emails to the same "Hide My Email" address and they were not forwarded to the corresponding email. This included sending from @gmail and non @gmail domains. (I triple checked I spelled & copied the email correctly)
  2. I disabling then re-enableing forwarding through this "Hide My Email"

(in settings > apple account > iCloud > hide my email > {the email} > Forward To > {click the toggle})

3 . maybe impactful The screen with this toggle the email as belonging to ChatGPT via "Sign in with Apple". But this shouldn't;take matter as the accounts are shared, or at least that's how it presents in apple's/openai's UIs when signing up.

Is anyone else experiencing this had different info from above?
