Icloud for windows still not working

Trying to use Icloud for Windows 11 but I can't login as it is an endless loop of inputing password and verification code. I see year old unresolved posts about this when I search for an answer online. It works in the browser so clearly no fault on my part. It is simply unacceptable that such a basic and vital feature hasn't been fixed for years.

iCloud login fails on Windows desktop in Chrome Hey there, when i attempt to login to my icloud via my windows desktop (google chrome), i get this error message: "Failed to verify identity. Try again" I don't have issue logging in my apple account and icloud via my iPhone and Macbook. I am successful logging in to my apple ID in the windows desktop via passkey but not via password. It's just this windows desktop that I can't seem to login to. Please advice
