Warnings of low iPhone battery on macOS Sequoia when connected via hotspot

Warnings (in form of notifications) of low iPhone battery continuously pop-up on macOS Sequoia 15.1.1. whenever I am connected to the internet via hotspot.

Somehow, the battery status has been misread by my computer since Monterrey, however, since Sequoia I started getting notifications asking me if I would like to disconnect from my iPhone. This message keeps poping-up even if the hotspot is active via the usb cable connected to my MacBook Pro... while the iPhone is being charged by the computer itself.

I have found no way to stop these notifications in System Settings. It is distracting and annoying.

I don't know if I should file a bug report...

Any help is appreciated!

This bug is still there as of 15.3.1. ... I can't wait to see a new update with integrated AI and a host of new bugs.

Updated to MacOS Sequoia 15.3.2 and iOS 18.3.2, and the problem persists.

I've been seeing these pop-up warnings for about a month. 2021 16" M1 MacBook Pro 15.3.2 connected to an iPhone 15 Pro Max 18.4.

Same issue here... MacBook Air 2020 M1 with macOS Sequoia 15.5 & iPhone 14 Pro Max with iOS 18.5. It shows both the signal level and a battery level incorrectly

Same issue here since upgrading to Sequoia.

MacBook Pro 16" M1, and iPhone Pro 16.

Currently Mac on 15.5 and iPhone on 18.5

I can confirm that this issue persists on macOS Sequoia 15.5 (24F74) on an M2 Max as of 9th June, 2025.

This is still happening. Both my phone and computer are up to date. Both are fully charged. I get this pop-up FREQUENTLY! It is super annoying. Macbook Pro is Sequoia 15.5. iPhone is iOS 18.5.
