theres a random iphone connected to my appl ID

I went into my setting recently to just mess around in them and learn more about my phone and all the stuff it’s capable of doing, I obviously started by clicking on my the first thing which is my Apple ID account tab upon doing that I scrolled down only to realize that there was 4 devices that were linked to my account rather than the original three. My phone, my girls phone, and my iPad are the only devices that should have access to the account at all but I seen a device named iPhone and it was an iPhone 11 Pro Max which me and my spouse have never owned nor do I even know anyone with one, what’s weird is the phone number linked to the phone when I type it into the search bar in contacts is literally brings of 5 of my contacts and that said phone number is on all their Contact info cards I’ve never changed their numbers either so I need a explanation if possible of what the **** is going on, I’m also not able to sign outta my iCloud account in settings now please help someone, thank you

iPhone SE, iOS 17

Click the iPhone, and click delete from account to delete the iPhone from your account. Make sure to change your apple accounts password after that

That you cannot sign out, is most likely due to screen time restrictions. Go to screen time>restrictions>make sure that allow account changes is set to on. You can also try and turn off screen time alltoegether

Yes 100% sure, my last iPhone I owned before I upgraded was an iPhone XR and that was about a year ago when I switched not to mention I’ve made a new Apple account/ iCloud account since then this account is about 7-8 months old and yea I know 2 factor authentication is setup too because when I go to sign in anywhere I have to send a code prompt to my phone number or it won’t login it’s legit confusing me because the number associated with the phone I type the number it brings up literally 5 of my contacts and says it’s their number that’s saved to their contact cards but when I enter the number into the text now app just to see what happens it brings up a different phone number like it won’t call the original number I hit the call button and it immediately goes to the other number, so I put the second number it’s forwarding too into my iPhones keypad it brings up a contact named Caleb, that I most definitely didn’t put in my phone idk a Caleb I k every contact in my phone I only have like 25-30 of them anyway. It’s very very confusing I swear I’ve never seen anything like it I’ve tried calling both and the original number on the device info rings but the second one says disconnected on my IPhone but rings on the text now app I’m so lost At this point lmao

If you are having to enter a 2FA code whenever you sign in anywhere, that is not the Apple Account 2FA code, that is for the service you are signing into. You only need to enter the 2FA once when a new device is signed into your Apple account, after that you will rarely ever need to enter the 2FA code again.

If there was a new device that logged into your account, the code first goes to any of your Trusted Devices, which is any device that is currently signed in. That would include you iPad and your girl's phone.

Not sure how the TextNow app fits into the picture. Never used it and don't know what permissions are given to access your Contacts list or if there are any other apps that are allowed to make changes to it. If the Contacts are storing data in iCloud on the other devices signed into your account, then any changes on those devices will be reflected on yours.
