Tap to Cash is not working

I set up the Tap To Cash from the Wallet app and hold the top of my iPhone 15 Pro to the top part of the screen or the top part of my wife’s iPhone 16 Pro. I see the animation for it but my wife never receives it. Both are connected to the same WiFi network and have Bluetooth as well all control our Home app from each of our devices.

I wanna know if there is something my wife needs to do in order to receive the Tap To Cash. She had the Wallet App open and still nothing
