iPhone 15 issues after iOS update and reset

Recently purchased a new watch, had to update the IOS to 18 to get the watch and the iphone to pair. Phone after update went monochrome and inverted colour profile, Googled, did a reset, had icloud backup with everything ticked. Now, got photos and messages back, all contacts gone, all game centre has gone. Wont let me create new contacts, updating contacts via messenger, some will save others wont, same with attaching photos to contacts, some do some dont. Also receiving text messages is hit and miss as well.

Ive been on icloud, done a contact recovery, didnt work.

Help pls this is an absolute nightmare.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.

Im simply stating the timeline of events. The phone was working fine prior to the ios18 update, and pairing the watch. My data is backed up,as above i did the restore from icloud backup, with contacts being ticked on the phone, so it should have included that along with messages and photos etc. It has not.

Its now also interesting the phone wants to pair with the watch again, the watch is functioning perfectly.

please i am looking for a solution to move forward and fix this, if i knew the right question to ask i would do so
