AirPods Max not charging or resetting after Apple repair

I just got my air maxes back from apple. I sent them because they were disconnecting randomly, i just got them shipped back to me i opened the package and they weren’t working. I thought maybe they were dead so i plugged them in and the charging light won’t turn on and it won’t even let me reset.
