iPad Pro 2024 Watching HDR movies

I just got the 11inch with the tandem oled screen. I tried watching a HDR movie via Apple TV but in the dark scenes can barely see what’s going on? What am I doing wrong? I have tried different brightness settings but made no difference to the dark scenes. Is this normal, is it just an issue with HDR content?

It can be an issue with the HDR content, try and restart the iPad to see if the issues persist

I have the 2024 iPad Pro as well and I see difference in quality with HDR content
