IOS 16 is the end of the line for the iPhone X.

The people who make the rules for the UPI payment system have decided not to allow UPI payments on any version of iOS earlier than iOS 17. This means that you cannot use an iPhone X to send or receive UPI payments using any app, including PhonePe. If you want to make or receive UPI payments, you will need to get another phone.
