I have been working on this for hours. I cannot open the Facebook app using the password that I have for Facebook. It works on my phone but not on my new iPad 13 Pro. I’ve changed the password. I entered the codes they sent me. The codes using my cell phone don’t even come through at all on my phone or anywhere. It keeps telling me to go to the WhatsApp that I don’t even have or care to have. What the heck?

This is from reports a persisting bug in the Facebook app that they apparently have yet to fix. Try installing Facebook Messenger and logging in there, then trying the Facebook app again. That's been reported to correct the problem for others. If not, this is an issue you need to take up with Facebook support, such as it is.

Try and login at the Facebook web page first, and after that open the app. This is a known problem with the Facebook app for iPad, so you might want to report this to Meta support as well so that they, as the developers of the app, can look into it
