Misleading Sign, Disappointment, and a Hard Lesson – Stay Alert!

Hello everyone,

I want to share an important experience to raise awareness and help others avoid falling into the same trap. I recently purchased an iPhone from a shop with a prominent “iPhone Service” sign. Trusting it, I believed I was dealing with a legitimate provider. They assured me the phone was in perfect condition.

Just five days later, the phone broke down. After investigating, I discovered the shop was not an Apple-authorized service provider. The official service center was actually located only 500 meters away inside a shopping mall.

This was a hard lesson learned about misleading advertising. I believe such practices should face serious consequences, and Apple needs to address this.

For those curious, the shop’s location can be found [here](related service).

Have you experienced anything similar? Let’s share stories to prevent others from being misled.

Always use the Find Service link provided by Apple on their website. Anyone can claim they offer iPhone Service without breaking any laws or copyright infringement, but if they claim that they are an Authorized Apple Service Provider, then contact Apple legal. Of course rules may vary by region and if the local government is not willing to enforce the laws to protect their citizens, there is likely not much Apple will be able to either.
